Selling on Poshmark in 2026: the 20% fee, the $15 line, and when it still pays

Short answer: Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% of the listing price on sales of $15 or more. That commission includes card processing. Poshmark sends you a prepaid shipping label, and withdrawing your earnings is free.

On paper, 20% is the highest standard commission among the big US closet apps. In practice Poshmark often nets more than the percentage suggests, because the buyer pays the postage. You never buy a label.

The $15 line matters more than the 20%

A flat $2.95 is small on a $14 sale in dollars, but large as a share of it. On a $12 item it is 24.6% of the sale, and on a $10 item it is 29.5%. After what you paid for the item, cheap listings leave very little.

The practical rule: if an item will only fetch around $12–$15, bundle it with other pieces or list it where a flat fee does not dominate.

When Poshmark beats a lower-fee marketplace

The buyer-paid label is the reason. On a heavy, mid-priced item such as a coat, boots or a chunky knit, the label a seller would otherwise pay can cost more than the extra commission. What tends to suit Poshmark

Practitioner guidance, not Poshmark data:

• Mall and contemporary womenswear brands that buyers already recognise.
• Bulky or heavy pieces, where buyer-paid postage protects your margin.
• Items priced comfortably above $15, so you pay the percentage rather than the flat fee.

Poshmark buyers often make offers, so leave room between your listing price and the lowest price you will accept.
