- How do I find thrift stores near me?
- Use the finder above: press “Find thrift stores near me”, allow location (or skip it for an approximate search), and pick a store type. You get the nearest secondhand shops within about 15 km, sorted by distance. Thrift Snap has the same map without limits.
- Why only 5 searches?
- The web finder is a demo of the store map in Thrift Snap. The app has unlimited searches, a wider radius, phone numbers and websites, and prices what you find once you are in the shop.
- Do you store my location?
- No. Your coordinates are rounded to roughly 110 metres, used for that one search and discarded. They are not logged, not saved and not tied to you. A search without location uses the approximate area your internet connection already reveals to every website.
- Where does the store list come from?
- From Overture Maps, an open map dataset published by the Overture Maps Foundation. Shops listed as permanently closed are excluded, but a listing can still be out of date — check opening hours before a long drive.
- What is the difference between thrift, consignment and vintage stores?
- Thrift stores sell donated goods, usually to fund a charity, and price low and fast. Consignment shops sell items on behalf of owners and split the sale, so prices are higher and stock is curated. Vintage stores buy and pick older pieces themselves and price by era and brand. For resellers, thrift is where the margin is.
