By using Thrift Snap you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Thrift Snap does
Thrift Snap helps you identify second-hand items and estimate their resale value using automated systems. All identifications, scores, and value estimates are estimates for your convenience and are not professional appraisals, financial advice, or a guarantee of any sale price or profit. You are solely responsible for your buying and selling decisions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent limits of the service (including scan quotas or app-integrity checks);
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to submit;
- resell or redistribute the app's outputs as your own appraisal service.
Your content
You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process them to provide the service (identification, valuation, and listing generation). See the Privacy Policy for how content is handled.
Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. See the Subscription Terms for billing details.
Marketplace data sources
Thrift Snap does not have a partnership with any marketplace. Resale values come from:
- eBay — current asking prices of active listings, retrieved through eBay's official public API (the eBay Browse API). These are asking prices, not confirmed sale prices.
- Poshmark (and Mercari, when available) — publicly available sold-listing information, obtained through a third-party data provider. Mercari figures are the last listed price of an item marked sold and carry no sale date.
- Every other marketplace figure (for example Depop or Vinted) — derived by our automated systems from the data above and comparable items. These are labelled "Estimated" in the app and are never presented as real sale data.
Marketplace data is shown as a convenience and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. We do not control it and do not guarantee that any item will sell at any price on any marketplace.
Trademarks and brand references
Brand names, marketplace names, and logos are used only descriptively, to identify items and the marketplaces their prices come from. Thrift Snap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or certified by any brand or marketplace.
- eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc. This application uses the eBay API but is not endorsed or certified by eBay Inc.
- Poshmark is a trademark of Poshmark, Inc. This application is not endorsed or certified by Poshmark, Inc.
- Mercari is a trademark of Mercari, Inc. This application is not endorsed or certified by Mercari, Inc.
- Depop is a trademark of Depop Limited. This application is not endorsed or certified by Depop Limited.
- Vinted is a trademark of Vinted UAB. This application is not endorsed or certified by Vinted UAB.
- Whatnot is a trademark of Whatnot Inc. This application is not endorsed or certified by Whatnot Inc.
- Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC.
All other trademarks, brand names, and product names belong to their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for losses arising from reliance on estimates, missed sales, or purchasing decisions made using the app.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
